There's something about walking and talking that really gets the brain juices flowing. From Aristotle to Einstein, the greats all intuitively figured out that walking facilitates proper talking, and proper talking facilitates proper thinking. Someone from the cohort remarked, "Left foot right foot; left brain right brain." I believe it.

Iris/Snort These seem to be available only through Google Play. This is called "Doing Freedom Tech the wrong way." I didn't bother to install.

I haven't looked at the code myself, but people are claiming that Amethyst no longer adheres to NIP01. If this is true, then Amethyst is no longer a Nostr client.

It also helps, as Hardy suggests, to be slightly overconfident. I've noticed in many fields that the most successful people are slightly overconfident. On the face of it this seems implausible. Surely it would be optimal to have exactly the right estimate of one's abilities. How could it be an advantage to be mistaken? Because this error compensates for other sources of error in the opposite direction: being slightly overconfident armors you against both other people's skepticism and your own.

The right way to deal with new ideas is to treat them as a challenge to your imagination — not just to have lower standards, but to switch polarity entirely, from listing the reasons an idea won't work to trying to think of ways it could. That's what I do when I meet people with new ideas. I've become quite good at it, but I've had a lot of practice. Being a partner at Y Combinator means being practically immersed in strange-sounding ideas proposed by unknown people. Every six months you get thousands of new ones thrown at you and have to sort through them, knowing that in a world with a power-law distribution of outcomes, it will be painfully obvious if you miss the needle in this haystack. Optimism becomes urgent.

At what point do tax paying American citizens begin to push back against this overt theft and money laundering into unproductive endeavors by the government? You spend your life developing knowledge, skills, a network, maybe a business, and work your hardest to make a good life for yourself only to see one third of your income siphoned off into a black hole of corruption and incompetence that is actively making you, and society at large, worse off. The Founding Fathers took on the British Empire because of a 2% tax on their tea.

who will finance these growing multi-trillion dollar budget deficits? The only entity capable is the Federal Reserve, which buys Treasuries with dollars it creates out of thin air. That’s why I am convinced extreme currency debasement is the inevitable outcome. All the rest is noise. The US government’s only practical option is ever-increasing currency debasement… and it could devastate most people. I suspect it will all go down soon… and it won’t be pretty. It will result in an enormous wealth transfer from savers and regular people to the parasitic class—politicians, central bankers, and those connected to them.

Even if tax rates went to 100%, it would not be enough to stop the deficits—and the debt needed to finance them—from growing. The US government is out of options. Therefore, the question is not whether it will default but how.

Source: internationalman.com

The US government is now borrowing money to pay interest on the federal debt, which has a compounding effect as the federal debt and interest expense grow exponentially. I suspect we are close to the inflection point where it gets out of control. 2024 could be the year that it becomes evident the US is trapped in a debt spiral.

Source: internationalman.com

The US government projects that the federal interest expense will exceed $1 trillion in 2024 for the first time. That means the interest expense will exceed defense and everything else in the budget except for Social Security, which it will also likely exceed soon.

Every country in the Middle East is an artificial construct, the same as every country in Africa. They were assembled arbitrarily in the drawing rooms of Europe in the last century. There was no thought about the language, culture, ethnicity, or political allegiances of the people in the area. These countries will all disintegrate.

Source: internationalman.com

The point is that it’s foolish for the US to engage with these primitive countries not just because the pointless war adds to our bankruptcy bill while making millions of new enemies. But because we wind up either putting them on welfare, like the Ukraine, or involuntarily bequeathing them scores of billions of dollars of weapons, as the US did in Afghanistan.

Source: internationalman.com

It’s uneconomic to fight primitive people with modern weapons. Our million-dollar missiles blow up huts in the sand. At some point, some of their $10,000 missiles are going to get through and destroy a billion-dollar warship.

it was only in 2019 when the U.S. government quit using 1970s-era eight-inch floppy discs to operate its nuclear weapons arsenal!

Since 1980, the size of the U.S. national debt has gone from 1 trillion dollars to 34 trillion dollars.

We have reached a stage where most U.S. households are at least partially dependent on the federal government. We very much prefer not to call ourselves “socialists”, but that is precisely what we are.

Source: theeconomiccollapseblog.com

But there is no way that our politicians will ever agree to reduce the size of the federal government to an appropriate size.  So we are stuck with this system until the day when it finally collapses.

Today, the United States has the biggest government in the history of the world, and it gets even bigger with each passing year.

I predict we are about to see an aggressive resurgence of unemployment by the end of the year.  Americans are not buying more, they are merely spending MORE for the same amount of stuff.  The stagflationary process always leads to a painful decline in overall consumption and standard of living – We had our three-year boost due to covid helicopter money, and now that boost is fading.

Source: alt-market.us

It doesn’t matter what the Fed does, you are going to continue paying 30% more to survive compared to 2019-2020, and for many people this is swiftly killing their standard of living.

Then there is the potential for shock events, such as Biden stepping down at the last minute. Trump being arrested but winning anyway.  Or, a major geopolitical crisis which is used by the Democrats as an excuse to “postpone” the election. And make no mistake, there are many of these triggers in place today.

Source: alt-market.us

The election of 2024 is developing into its own Black Swan event. Democrats are using a ballot access denial strategy against Trump, which by itself could result in civil conflict.  However, the greater issue is that they will use this as a precedent to deny any conservative access to elections on the grounds that they are a “threat to democracy.”Any indication that Donald Trump will be arrested before November or any widespread blue state plans to remove him from the ballot will be seen as election interference and I have no doubt that many Americans will seriously consider armed revolt. Then again, Trump’s mere presence as a candidate will be used by far-left groups as a rationale to stoke riots. His re-entry into the Oval Office would mean endless mob actions and perhaps even terrorist attacks. So, in this regard it doesn’t really matter if we end up with Biden or Trump, the eventual outcome will probably be the same – Civil unrest followed by a declaration of martial law in the next couple of years.

If the establishment had achieved their goal of vaccine passports the fight for freedom would be over.  The passports would have made economic participation impossible for anyone that did not submit to the agenda, creating a secondary class of citizens (mostly conservative) that could then be targeted for systematic elimination.Luckily, enough people stood up and refused to comply that the plan was derailed. Apparently, the establishment realized there were far too many patriots willing to take up arms and fight if they kept pushing the covid farce.

Source: alt-market.us

The Defeat Of The Covid AgendaI don’t think many people understand how epic and important the battle over covid lockdowns and vaccine passports actually was. The western world was on the verge of complete authoritarianism – Not a totalitarian tip-toe like we have been experiencing for many years, but full bore medical dictatorship and mass censorship. I believe covid WAS the Plan A attempt to create reset conditions, and it failed.

The globalist timeline for their “Great Reset” mentions 2030 as the prime year for total centralization. This is the year they plan to put their carbon controls in place, remove most oil and gas energy, bring in their digital currency framework, finalize their 15 Minute City programs, establish the IMF and BIS as the overseers of the global CBDC structure, launch their cashless society and integrate ESG related goals into every aspect of the economy.2030 is only six years away, and that’s a lot to accomplish in such short amount of time.

We must never forget that the government no longer exists to serve its people, protect their liberties and ensure their happiness.Rather, “we the people” are the unfortunate victims of the diabolical machinations of a make-works program carried out on an epic scale whose only purpose is to keep the powers-that-be permanently (and profitably) employed.

Of the many weapons in the government’s vast arsenal, psychological warfare (or psy ops) can take many forms: mind control experiments, behavioral nudging, propaganda. In fact, the CIA spent nearly $20 million on its MKULTRA program, reportedly as a means of programming people to carry out assassinations and, to a lesser degree, inducing anxieties and erasing memories, before it was supposedly shut down.

the U.S. military had been creating bogus personas with AI-generated profile pictures and fictitious media sites on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in order to manipulate social media users.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture communications blackouts. Internet and cell phone kill switches enable the government to shut down communications at a moment’s notice. It’s a practice that has been used before in the U.S. In 2005, cell service was disabled in four major New York tunnels (reportedly to avert potential bomb detonations via cell phone). In 2009, those attending President Obama’s inauguration had their cell signals blocked (again, same rationale). And in 2011, San Francisco commuters had their cell phone signals shut down (this time, to thwart any possible protests over a police shooting of a homeless man).

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture environmental disasters. Deployed in 1947, Project Cirrus, an early precursor to HAARP, the government’s weather-altering agency, attempted to disable a hurricane as it was moving out to sea. Instead of weakening the storm, however, the government steered it straight into Georgia, resulting in millions of dollars in damaged properties.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture health crises. Long before COVID-19 locked down the nation, the U.S. government was creating lethal viruses and unleashing them on an unsuspecting public.

Source: www.zerohedge.com

For years now, the government has been pushing us to the brink of a national nervous breakdown. This breakdown—triggered by polarizing circus politics, media-fed mass hysteria, militarization and militainment (the selling of war and violence as entertainment), a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness in the face of growing corruption, the government’s alienation from its populace, and an economy that has much of the population struggling to get by—has manifested itself in the polarized, manipulated mayhem, madness and tyranny that is life in the American police state today.

It’s a toss-up, but I guess that the Democrats will win. No matter who wins, there will be huge anger in the country. The people who hate Trump really hate him. The so-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is real. Of course, you can dislike him; he has some stupid policies. But these people are actually insane. At the same time, if Trump loses, the people who support him will be justifiably livid at the Democrats, who brazenly used lawfare, trying to both bankrupt him and put him in jail to keep him off the ballot. I just don’t see how it can possibly have a happy ending or even a non-violent one.

Source: internationalman.com

Now, who’s going to win? I put my money on Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020 (link). This time, I’m betting on the Democrats again because they’re much more adept at cheating. Perhaps they’ll find some ultra-serious crisis that will, believe it or not, allow the election to be put off. But they’re actual Jacobins who’ll do anything to hold on to power.

Source: internationalman.com

But starting in 1988, when George H.W. Bush ran against Michael Dukakis, I don’t see that it’s really made any real difference which character won. For more or less the last 35 years, there’s been very little difference between the right and the left wings of the Demopublican Party, which we can call the Uniparty. Both wings fully support both the welfare state and the warfare state. It’s just that the Democrats emphasize some things, and the Republicans cyclically emphasize others.

Lincoln, the Congress, and the U.S. military were all guilty of treason, defined in Article 3, section 3 as “only” levying war upon the United States,” with “United States” in the PLURAL, meaning the individual states, not something called the U.S. government in D.C.  And they destroyed the voluntary union of the founding fathers and did not “save” it. They were all guilty of war crimes as well for intentionally waging war on civilians — AMERICAN civilians, not foreign civilians as with the bombing of Dresden and Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

Doug Casey: As an amateur student of history, it seems to me that the US has been moving away from the founding principles that made it unique for over a hundred years. I’m 77. I’ve watched it happen firsthand for much of that time. The trend has been accelerating. The country is heading towards a massive crisis because it’s lost its philosophical footing. The result is going to be a really serious depression. I call it the Greater Depression. The spread between the haves who live in multi-million dollar houses and the have-nots who live in tents isn’t new. After all, Jesus said, “The poor you will always have with you.” What’s new is that the middle class is being impoverished.

US military spending is really just corporate welfare for the five big “defense” corporations, which build weapons suited for fighting the last war or maybe the war before the last war.

In fact, the US Government is the biggest danger to the world today. It’s not providing order. By sticking its nose into everyone else’s business everywhere, it’s promoting chaos. Its 800+ bases around the world are provocations. The carrier groups that it has wandering around are sitting ducks with today’s technology. The US is the main source of risk in the world, not safety.

So what do anarcho-capitalists believe? According to their theories, no government whatsoever is justified, since all governments engage in taxation. This, in turn is a rights violation; it is robbery whenever money changes hands unless both parties have consented to the arrangement, and no one has ever signed a contract with any government agreeing to pay anything to it.

Sherman wrote to Grant in 1866, We are not going to let a few thieving, ragged Indians check and stop the progress of the railroads. We must act with vindictive earnestness against the Sioux, even to their extermination, men women and children.”

Power that is secularized and cut free of civilizing traditions is not limited by moral and religious scruples. V.I. Lenin made this clear when he defined the meaning of his dictatorship as “unlimited power, resting directly on force, not limited by anything.” Washington’s drive for hegemony over US citizens and the rest of the world is based entirely on the exercise of force and is resurrecting unaccountable power. Christianity’s emphasis on the worth of the individual makes such power as Lenin claimed, and Washington now claims, unthinkable. Be we religious or be we not, our celebration of Christ’s birthday celebrates a religion that made us masters of our souls and of our political life on Earth. Such a religion as this is worth holding on to even by atheists.
