Call Her Daddy's Dating Advice
She’s sort of right. But sort of gross.
I watched this episode of Call Her Daddy, so that you don’t have to. She’s got 2,13 million subs on YouTube, so I was curious about what she was telling the masses.
Her underlying message in this podcast is that people need to get out of the house and meet other people in person, if they want to date. This is 💯 correct. I am totally onboard with that message. Online dating has clearly peaked. Half of the guys on Tinder are trying to find true love among a herd of amateur prostitutes, bots, and girls “dating” on an industrial scale. The other half no longer believe in true love. (The irony that Tinder is her main sponsor, is apparently lost on her and her audience.)
But the whole vibe coming from her communication is toxic and got worse as it went along.
Dating as a recursive function
It’s advice on how to start dating and just keep right on dating, forever. Not a courting effort or mate-selection ritual, but dating for sport. Fun dates, free meals, and raunchy sex-and-sodomy with randoms, as the end goal of dating. And then Prince Charming is someone you stumble over after you’ve racked up a body count like a Ukrainian drone pilot and are bored of it all, and are like, Please, universe, send me someone halfway normal.
I don’t think emulating her behavior will increase womens’ happiness, but please do get out of the house, more, ladies. Many girls never fully re-emerged from lockdowns. It’s scary, how reclusive they are.
Break stuff and then offer to help them fix it
And, for the record, the Reclusive Girls are also not at the club or on dating apps or at parties. And they are not watching this podcast. They’re maybe at the library or church, but probably just shuffling between home and work/school. Which means that you probably won’t approach them, as those places are now dating deserts.
As the girls at the club, that have always been drowning in male attention and who think dating is fun, have determined that that is sexual harassment (* if he isn’t hot enough. Hoping it happens is the main reason they go to school or the office, but let’s all pretend like we don’t know that.) Now, the other single women have to suffer the complete vacuum of male attention that has been left in their destructive wake.
