This year, the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (Mintur) validated seven new routes in the state of Trujillo in order to strengthen sustainable, community, ecological, cultural, gastronomic and historical tourism in the region.

Trujillo expands its offerings with certification of seven tourist routes The Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (Mintur) has validated seven new tourism routes in Trujillo, Venezuela, increasing the total number of certified destinations to 32. These routes focus on sustainable, community, ecological, cultural, gastronomic, and historical tourism. “La Plazuela: Cultural Heritage” is the first route validated directly by a mayor’s office, aiming to showcase the town’s history, architecture, and local traditions.

  • “La Plazuela: Cultural Heritage” is the first route validated directly by a mayor’s office.
  • The Trujillo municipality, through the “La Plazuela: Cultural Heritage” route, will promote historical and cultural tourism, nature, and gastronomy.
  • The “La Plazuela” route includes visits to the church, a rest stop, the house of poet Samuel Barreto Peña, and the origin of the “curruchete” sweet.
  • These new tourism products have received a national quality seal, certifying the richness of Boconó and Trujillo.
  • The validation is a result of joint work between the National Government, entrepreneurs, and service providers.
