Timeless Bitcoin Lesson
Twitter is full of people celebrating BlackRock’s entry into Bitcoin. But is it all good?
Lets’ think about this a little deeper. Was Bitcoin supposed to be just another “asset class or commodity’’ that gets integrated into the traditional financial system?
Or is it supposed to be something more?
Parker Lewis wrote an incredible essay in Edition 3 of the Bitcoin Times called: Bitcoin is the great DEFINIACIALIZATION. In it he said:
‘’The process of definancialization will occur as wealth stored in financial assets is converted into bitcoin and as each market participant increasingly expresses a preference for holding a more reliable form of money over risk assets. Almost everything will lose purchasing power in bitcoin-denominated terms as bitcoin becomes adopted globally as a monetary standard. As part of this process, the financial system will shrink in size relative to the purchasing power of the bitcoin network.’’-Parker Lewis
The lessons?
- Bitcoin is here to disrupt and break our current, hyper-financialized economic system.
- With real Savings, people do not need to be out there chasing yield, and funds of funds or funds of funds buoyed by never ending streams of printed money need to exist in order to give people the illusion of “getting ahead” while in reality we’re all falling behind.
- The BlackRock’s of the world are like the T-Rex. Powerful yes. But Bitcoin is a Comet and their time is soon coming to an end.

Rapid Fire Bitcoin Updates
Key metrics, data and insights worth knowing:
- Blackrock is now a majority shareowner in 4 out of the 5 largest miners in the world.
- Over 50% of the 84 million Turkish residents reportedly use ‘’crypto,’’ representing a 40% increase in adoption since 2022.
