Primer mes de operación de equipos de salud laboral del Fomag deja más de 32.300 docentes atendidos Fiduprevisora, representing the Fondo del Magisterio (Fomag), has reported on the launch of the ECIS-L strategy for teacher healthcare. Currently, 54 teams are operational in four departments, serving over 32,000 teachers. The program is set to significantly expand in December and by early 2026, aiming for complete national coverage for all teachers and educational institutions.
- The ECIS-L strategy, linked to Agreement 003 of 2024, is being implemented for the healthcare of Colombian teachers.
- Currently, 54 teams are operating in Antioquia, Caquetá, La Guajira, and Meta, covering 10% of contracted educational establishments and serving 32,370 teachers.
- The strategy focuses on preventive work and monitoring labor risks, with a specific emphasis on mental health.
- By December 15th, operations will expand to 15 new departments with the addition of 19 private IPS and 6 ESE, adding 191 teams and covering over 114,000 teachers.
- By January 2026, Fomag plans to contract 36 more IPS and ESE to achieve 100% national coverage, activating a total of 562 teams.
