Sparkly new rocks
I realize I haven’t posted in almost a year now, but I promise I have a good reason.
You see, last summer two very important new (to us) rocks came onto the scene.
My wonderful hiking companion (https://wordpress.com/post/bluemarbleearth.wordpress.com/3578) and I got engaged in July 2023! And we’ve spent the last year planning a grand party for the end of this July. It will even involve some local pebbles we carefully selected from Deception Pass (my all-time favorite part of the wedding preparations).
Wedding planning has the amazing ability to expand to fill every inch of available free time, so I haven’t been working on posts. But I do have some lined up to write after the wedding – one on the Goat Rocks Wilderness, one on Twin Trek 2023 in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, and maybe an extremely overdue one on Twin Trek 2021 in Olympic National Park. I’m looking forward to diving back into nerdiness after long months of wrangling guest lists, diving into DIY projects, and trying to hang on to my sanity amidst the flood of online wedding propaganda.
I’m looking forward to posting more about what we find on our wanderings…. and getting to call her my wife as well as my favorite adventurer!
