Dear guests of Bitcoin je RETRO!

Saturday 25 April is almost here and we can’t wait to see you in Bratislava at A4 (Karpatská 2, YMCA building). Here are a few practical things so you get the most out of the weekend.

— WEEKEND PROGRAM —

Friday 24.4. (warm-up): Sauna Bobor, event “By the Sweat of Our Brow We Mine Bitcoin” – sauna ceremonies with birch whisks and singing with Marianna and Kikon, 12:00–16:00. (tickets)

Saturday 25.4. (main day): A4, line-up starts at 12:00. We recommend arriving a bit earlier for registration. The talks wrap up around 19:30 and at 20:30 we continue with the official afterparty with the band 4xSuper — right there at A4. 4xSuper play experimental electronics — from hypnotic dance to drone textures.

Sunday 26.4.: The Bitcoin Stations of the Cross — meeting at 15:00 in front of Modrý Kostolík, but in Slovak language. (+a film crew will be recording the Stations of the Cross, so by joining you agree to being filmed, or you can hide behind the camera :)

— WHAT TO EXPECT ON SATURDAY —

Two stages: the upper workshop café stage and the lower main stage. Full line-up and times below / here

Alongside the talks, there’s a parallel program running all day:

• Massages – book your slot directly on site.

• Pixel Art – cross-stitch embroidery with textile artist and bitcoin educator Zuzka Lalíková – stitch your own Bitcoin block!

We feel the original cypherpunk values – privacy, censorship resistance, individual sovereignty – are more relevant today than ever. That’s why zero-knowledge proofs, privacy tooling and Zcash take up so much space in the program — and why Frank Braun closes the talks.

— PRACTICAL INFO —

Getting there: Parking in the area is either paid or on the surrounding streets (if you’re lucky). Better to come by public transport, train, bike or on foot.

Food & drinks: A4 has great drinks and beer on tap plus light bites, there are restaurants nearby, and Wolt delivery works well too.
