The evening walk & a new one
I do these walks & posts maybe to stay sane here among the terminally insane…
Close to 3 kgs of glass & metal
Yesterday evening I dragged this beast along again, an old 300/2.8 is a good thing for low light.
Actually the strap had a glitch, so it all hit the ground… Sturdy things, nothing broke :-)
From the bridge where the 300/2.8 turned suicidal
I started using lens flare and light sources in frame like this in the early nineties.
My experience across many platforms is that this is perhaps where professional lenses stand out the most, often also the older generations are way better :-)
The lighthouse
Its cold and dark out there… Yet I still wish I had a boat, leaving into the darkness!
Actually I know I was out there at the age around 2, and I have some memories from maybe 3 years of age which include that area.
The big piece of glass is somewhat easier to hand hold like this, although there is a lot of movement the micro movements are less. This should be around 125th of a second.
The new one
And there she was, a new one doing weird experiments with a camera like I stared doing 4 decades ago in the same city! :-)
Hopefully she’ll make it, but survival in these times are for the ultra street wise & cynical…
That’s it for now!
