This is the ultimate friction: a world trying to become abundant through technology, held hostage by a money system that requires artificial scarcity.

Most observers still view Bitcoin as a “Version 1.0” software or a speculative asset. This is a category error. Bitcoin is not a company, and it is not a platform. It is a neutral, global protocol.

To understand the future, we must look at the history of the internet. It didn’t emerge as a finished product in 1989; it began its layering process decades earlier. We are now seeing the same evolution with value and information.

• Layer 2 (Lightning): The plumbing for instant, global exchange.

These layers are being integrated into a “Protocol Stack” that replaces centralized gatekeepers with peer-to-peer reality. On Nostr, we don’t ask for permission to speak; on Bitcoin, we don’t ask for permission to transact. They are two sides of the same coin of sovereignty.

A mental model’s value is measured by its predictive strength. If you measure the world through the lens of fiat currency, the world appears increasingly chaotic and unpredictable.
