Chapter 1: The First GM

Chapter 1: The First GM

He woke up like every other day: confused, slightly caffeinated, and already online.

Before brushing his teeth, before checking the price of Bitcoin, before even remembering his own name, he opened his Nostr client and typed the sacred letters:

GM.

No punctuation. No emojis. Pure signal.

Within seconds, the replies arrived.
“GM”
“GM ☕”
“GM plebs”
“GM + stack sats”

This was community.

Our hero—known online only as npub1goodmorning...—felt a deep sense of belonging. He didn’t know these people. He didn’t need to. They shared something stronger than geography or politics. They shared a mutual distrust of centralized platforms and a vague optimism about the future.

As he scrolled, he noticed something strange. Someone had posted a 3,000-word essay about why Bitcoin was not just money, but time itself. Another user replied only with “ratio” and a goat emoji.

“This place is different,” he whispered.

He accidentally liked a post about running your own relay. That was the beginning of the end.
