Stacks Vibe Coding Hackathon Winners Recap

Hackathon Summary

The Stacks Vibe Coding Hackathon concluded with significant participation from the developer community. The event registered 571 hackers and accepted 109 project submissions, reflecting a strong interest in building within the Stacks ecosystem. The hackathon emphasized integrating AI-powered coding tools, such as Cursor and Claude Code, to support both experienced and less-technical developers.

Participants developed applications using Clarity smart contracts and Stacks-specific tooling, producing solutions that addressed a variety of themes, including DeFi, Gaming, AI integration, and InfoFi/SocialFi. The $25,000 prize pool incentivized the submission of novel projects, particularly in the areas of DeFi and Gaming, with select bounties awarded to top entries in these categories.

Workshops and resources were provided to guide participants through the development and pitching process. This support reinforced best practices for AI-augmented development and facilitated effective project delivery. The hackathon aligned with Stacks’ mission to expand Bitcoin utility, promoting both experimentation and growth in the broader blockchain ecosystem. Overall, the event demonstrated advances in developer productivity and reduced barriers to entry for building AI-enhanced applications on Stacks.
