Kaia Wave Stablecoin Summer Hackathon: Winner Summary

Hackathon Summary

The Kaia Wave Stablecoin Summer Hackathon represented Kaia’s first major effort to foster innovation in DeFi mini-dApps using Kaia-native USDT. The event drew considerable engagement, with 94 approved projects and 575 registered developers participating. Early-stage teams, focused on delivering functional DeFi products rather than simple prototypes, received comprehensive launch support, including onboarding assistance, access to investment opportunities, and technical resources.

Throughout the hackathon, several mini-dApps showcased novel uses of stablecoin DeFi on Kaia, often integrating with the LINE messenger ecosystem. Noteworthy projects explored USDT earning mechanisms, DID-based stablecoin solutions, and AI-driven functionalities for trading and asset allocation. Winners shared a $165,000 prize pool and received additional infrastructure credits. Furthermore, over $1 million in investment commitments were made available to support project launches. The event concluded with live demos from finalists at Token2049 Singapore, highlighting the focus on immediate product launches and ecosystem impact. Overall, the hackathon underscored strong technical engagement and participation in advancing DeFi development on the Kaia platform.

Hackathon Winners

Kaia Stablecoin Prize Winners

Five projects were recognized in the Kaia Stablecoin Summer Hackathon for their technical solutions addressing stablecoin utility and decentralized finance challenges. Awards were based on technical innovation, approach to problem-solving, and quality of implementation.

🏆 Winner
Lucky Savings – This project implements a lossless lottery DApp on Kaia Chain, using pooled assets to generate yield for lottery prize pools while keeping user deposits secure. Integration with LINE messenger enables accessible participation for users.

🥈 1st Runner Up
KiloLend – KiloLend introduces a LINE Mini DApp for decentralized lending focused on stablecoins. Key features include dynamic interest rates, AI-assisted onboarding, KILO point-based gamification, and TEE-based agent transactions for enhanced security.

🥉 2nd Runner Up
Senja – Senja offers permissionless stablecoin lending and borrowing through isolated pools and cross-chain access via LayerZero. Its integration with the LINE Mini DApp helps onboard Web2 users, and the platform features an integrated fee buyback system.

4th Place
NoLoss Protocol – NoLoss Protocol builds a zero-risk prediction market on the Kaia blockchain, where users stake USDT to earn yield. Victorious participants share the yield while both winners and losers retain their principal, appealing to users with lower risk tolerance.

5th Place
ReKaUSD – This project offers a yield-generating stablecoin for the KAIA Network by bridging USDT to Ethereum through Chainlink CCIP and deploying the funds into external yield strategies. This mechanism supports real dollar inflows into the ecosystem.
