DomainFi Challenge Hackathon: Winner Summary

Hackathon Summary

The DomainFi Challenge gathered 493 registered developers, who collectively submitted 90 approved projects centered on decentralized applications (dApps) for the Doma Protocol. The event consisted of five tracks: on-chain auctions, trading tools, bots, trait scoring, and landing pages. Developers were encouraged to create solutions that support DomainFi, aiming to integrate domains as real-world assets within DeFi ecosystems.

Participants delivered a wide array of minimum viable products (MVPs) addressing request-for-proposal (RFP) challenges. Key project types included gamified domain auctions, AI-driven trait analytics, portfolio trading platforms, event notification bots, and SEO-optimized sales interfaces. Notable developments featured AI-based trait scoring dashboards and automation tools for tracking domain events in real time.

The prize pool offered $50,000 USDC, with each category winner receiving $10,000 USDC and fast-track access to $1 million in Doma Forge grants as well as additional mentorship opportunities. Further recognition and rewards were made available through community and ambassador activities. Overall, the event demonstrated strong participation and technical creativity, contributing foundational on-chain solutions for domain tokenization and trading within the Doma ecosystem.

About the Organizer

Doma

Doma Protocol is the world’s first DNS-compliant blockchain for DomainFi, tokenizing 364M+ domains as real-world assets (RWAs) to transform the $360B domain industry. Developed with contributions from D3 Global, Doma enables cross-chain interoperability between existing Web2 domains (.com, .xyz, .ai) and future Web3 extensions (.sol, .anime, .ape), powering a global economy for fractional ownership, lending, and DeFi utility. With open APIs, SDKs, and developer programs like Doma Forge, Doma Protocol empowers developers and investors to transform how domains are owned, used, and traded across the internet, marketplaces, and Web3 wallets.
