Somnia DeFi Mini Hackathon: Winner Summary

Hackathon Summary

The Somnia DeFi Mini Hackathon brought together 490 developers and produced 162 approved projects over a month-long event. The hackathon focused on the development of decentralized finance protocols, NFT utilities, and developer tools. Participants created fully on-chain dApps, utilizing the Somnia Network’s high throughput and low latency infrastructure. A total of $15,000 USDC in prizes was awarded across several tracks, with additional ecosystem support extended to promising projects beyond the official winners.

Among the submissions were projects exploring advanced DeFi use cases on a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain, enhanced NFT functionalities, and tools to facilitate on-chain development. The event attracted global participation, reflecting growing interest among developers in scalable, EVM-compatible blockchain solutions. The large number of projects and contributors highlighted the Somnia Network’s potential to support practical, high-speed, on-chain applications.
