Open for Comment: Special Local Regulation; Ohio River, Louisville, KY
Homeland Security Department — The Coast Guard is proposing to establish a temporary special local regulation (SLR) for certain navigable waters of the Ohio River. The SLR is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a rowing event. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from being in the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port (COTP), Ohio Valley or their designated representative. We invite your comments on this proposed rulemaking. (30 days remaining)
